Madison grew up apart of an extremely energized and adventurous family. Her parents, Denise and Mike, bonded over training for and competing in triathlons and adventure races across the United States. Her brother, sister and herself competed in the proceeding kids races as young as 5,7 and 9 years old. Madison didn’t have a choice but to love physical activity! It is in her Tormey DNA.

Denise and Mike opened their first family-centered gym in the early 2000s. They eventually sold the gym and the whole family moved to the island of Nassau, Bahamas to design and manage a luxury fitness and wellness center, called Albany Bahamas. Madison spent most of her middle school and high school years playing, learning and exercising within her family’s gyms.

From 2012 to 2016, Madison played on nationally-ranked, Stetson University’s Beach Volleyball Team. Her love for sport-specific training and elite competition peaked. After colligate sports her idea of physical activity drastically shifted. She was no longer training with a team and preparing for competition. Madison realized she was simply training for life, and most of the time by herself! She knew daily physical activity was essential for both her mental and physical wellbeing. This vital understanding and self discipline kept her consistent.

Madison received her CrossFit Level I Certification in 2016. She learned excellent form for enumerable functional lifts and movements. Though she had already been practicing many of these her entire life, the certification helped solidify her knowledge. She believes in teaching dynamic, functional movements to strengthen and stabilize the human body. She loves to surprise you with an intense workout, using very little equipment!

Movement is essential for our well-being. It promotes vitality and longevity. It improves hormonal balance, organ function, blood flow, mood and much more.

A personal training session with Madison will always include a warm up and a cool down. The warm up is designed to activate the muscles, stabilize the core, and increase the blood flow for optimal performance. The cool down is designed to stretch out the muscles used to reinforce mobility and prevent soreness. The main portion of the session will be focused on functional fitness and dynamic movements. The movements are inspired by daily life functions and will naturally increase your strength, fine tune your coordination, increase your speed and reaction time, enhance your mobility and much more.

Madison’s goal is to help you reach optimal functionality, reduce any limitations and prevent injuries.

Remember that aesthetic goals are reached naturally by committing to mindful and challenging movement on a consistent basis. For results, Madison recommends at least 2 Personal Training Sessions a week for 3 months. Kind reminder that in order to healthily reach your goals and maintain the progress, physical results may take 1-3 months to acquire. This is about long-term success and living a healthy life, free of disease and injury.

Madison is experienced and well equipped to work with any injuries and limitations. There are always modifications. She believes the body can repair itself if you put it in the right environment.
